At present, joint ventured staircases includes Italian joint ventured staircases and Spanish ones. The former ones are manufactured in Shanghai factories, subsidiary to Shanghai Elgin Co. Ltd, through transfer of the advanced technologies, production experience and fruits of R&D on new products by Italian company. The timbers of staircases are from best quality European Zelkova in the eastern parts of France. The steel parts are from Shanghai BaoSteel Group Co. Ltd. Therefore, joint ventured staircases have measured up to Italian quality standards for staircases. Spanish joint ventured staircases are the products combined by imported railing and rail parts from TM in Spain, and customized main-body structure of staircase by Elgin. The white ceramic railings, originally imported from Spain are processed with lacquering, gilding, and painting in Shanghai factories according to clients’ demands.
Now Elgin has 88% of imported Spanish TM products in China market and become its largest distributor in China while most other staircase companies sell its imitations.
Imported staircases refer to finished products manufactured and processed in Italy or Spain, which could sell directly after import to Shanghai and trial assembly. Eastern European Beech costs about 2800-4000 Yuan/m3 with lower density and higher deformation rate than that of Western European Beech. The high quality Eastern European Beech costs 5800-6500 Yuan/m3, almost twice than Eastern European Beech. However, Western European Beech, especially French Beech, is of high quality with high density, rigidity and low deformation rate. 70% advance payment should be deposited upon signing the contract. The products will be checked and 30% balance should be paid before assembly.
The lead time varies with types of staircases and payment. The lead time of original import of German Ernst is 60 days. The lead time of the joint ventured staircases is 40-50 days. The lead time of Italian HAS is 35-40 days. Because the railings of Spanish TM staircases are all imported, the lead time depends on the stock. If there is stock, the lead time is 45-55 days. If there is no stock of Italian and Spanish original import, the lead time is three months. We will contact you to reconfirm the date before assembly.
